The PRO-AM (professional porn stars with amateur actresses) genre was started by a group of porn guys know as the Nasty Bros. They consist of Ed Powers (I guess he had the video camera), Randy West (porn star giant), Jake Steed (this guy has one of the biggest cocks I've ever seen), and occasionally Jamie Gillis (another porn giant).
Dirty Debutantes came first and offered the viewer a glimpse at very new and fresh girls that had never performed in front of a camera before. It's interesting to see the girls at they prepare for their first time fucking in front of a camera. There is also a little bit of a suspense as you are never quite sure how far the girls will go. Will Ed get them to go all the way?
Randy West broke off from Dirty Debutantes and formed Up N' Cummers, a series where Randy takes the girls that have been in the business for only a short time (usually only doing 3-6 movies) and has sex with them. A lot of times you can see the same girl start out in Dirty Debutantes and then show up in Up N' Cummers with more experience. That's one of my favorite things about these series.
Realism is the key to this series. The Nasty Bros. are often scolding the girls for "acting" like they enjoy it too much. The format is basically the same for both of these movies. Ed or Randy interview the girls for a few minutes about sex and so forth, and then proceed to fuck them. With Up N' Cummers you are guaranteed the girls will fuck, because they are porn actresses already. Only in Dirty Debutantes do you watch Ed try and "get the girls out of their pants" so to speak.
