We were lucky enough to interview the lovely and talented adult film star Dee! Dee and her husband/manager Rob unfortunately did not show for the original scheduled interview but after an apology, some tears and hugs all around we forgave them and it went down as follows.

Dee is currently VERY hot in the adult industry, starring in films such as Beautiful Evil, Suite Seduction 69 and the new Spice Girls spoof The 5 Sins. She has her hands in everything from acting to directing and management. When and how did you first get started in the business?

In May 97 by mutual agreement with my husband.

How did the opportunity come your way?

A director named Greg Steele referred us to World Modeling. We saw him on a ATV show on the makings of an adult movie, then saw him in a mall and asked him how is the best way to get in. Off to World we went.

Was being in porn something you had wanted to do or was your decision based on other factors?

It was just to be fun at first... another little experience, but we saw different things in the biz. More of a career.

Your husband has a voyeuristic side, I take it?

Yes

How many films have you made to date?

Approximately 60.

Were you a fan of pornography before deciding to get involved?

Not really, I saw a few tapes. I really did not get hardcore into it.

Which of your films is your personal favorite?

Degrees of Decadence II and Innercity Black Cheerleader Search 14.

Were they the most fun to make or are you going by the films themselves as a whole?

The Degrees was exhilirating and IBCS was my first because I did it with Rob.

Rob being your husband, yes? He was actually in the film with you?

Yes.

Has he been in any other films, himself?

Yeah... most of the time he works with me. He works in anal scenes.

Is he there with you now?

How was filming Playboy Night Calls?

It was fun and very unique by being live with no rehearsels.

Have you worked with Playboy before? Any idea when it will be on?

No, it was a first. It aired that same day.

How did you like working with Ed Powers (of the Dirty Debutants series)?

It was an experience with Ed... it was a first time type thing.

Would you say it was a positive experience?

It's all positve because I learn something all the time.

Your first film was a Dirty Debutants, then?

Yeah.

Is Ed really the nice guy he seems to be off camera that he is on?

Yeah, he is.

Have you ever seen him with his socks off (Ed leaves his socks on in all of his films, never been barefoot on camera)?

I wonder if anyone has... Do you prefer the "relaxed" setting of an Ed Powers/Dirty Debutants movie or the more traditional "by the script" films?

For movies I like scripts because I know what to expect.

Yeah.

Did you ever have to do a scene with someone you absolutely were not attracted to?

No.

Yes... her name is India and Mark Anthony.

How do you feel about Sin City's new policy that any actor or actress can request that a condom be used in their scenes without any negative reciprocation? Do you prefer to use or not to use a condom?

I am condom positive. But it is great that the option is now available.

How has the fact that 5 people in the porn industry have tested positive for HIV in the past 5 months affected you? Have you noticed any changes within the industry as a whole?

No I got it, and here is the answer... I am glad that companies like Sin City have that option to choose how talent wishes to work. The HIV is a crisis. It was alarming then and is still now. It should be a very signifgant variable... enough to protect oneself. Condoms are not a sure fire cure but it reduces the risk

Have you noticed an increase in the number of people that choose to use them recently?

Of course... it's a good thing.

Let's lighten things up... was your first anal experience on screen? Do you particularly enjoy anal sex?

My first anal was in my personal life and I wanted it. It was with an ex boyfriend. I was turned off by anals then and really did not want to do them. Then my husband sparked some old feelings and I enjoy it again. Hang on... I have a call.

No not yet. India is still new and Mark is still in the process of making a reputation. I can coordinate it.

I directed 2 already and am working on a third now.

Is your family supportive of your career?

Yes, They are.

How does being in the business affect the notion of a "home life?" Do you have a constantly wild schedule?

It is busy because we perform, manage, do websites, produce. It's is busy. It is lucrative.

Do you live close to where you usually work, or is a large part of your time spent on the road?

When I do films, I am close. Other than that, I am in the office. I do spend a reasonable amount of time on the road.

Do you and Rob plan on having children?

Yes... approximately five years from now.

Do you plan on leaving the business at that time?

On screen, yes. The business, no. Not at that time anyway.

How many kids would you like to have? Boys? Girls?

We'd like to have one kid... I am answering email as we do this. You have 2 of the three arms.

Two is enough for me... would you like a boy or a girl?

A boy.

Will you ever bring your screen career up to him?

Of course. Children are neutral. They are taught to think/judge/and be predjudice and to be good people, if taught.

Would you dissuade your son from getting involved in the business as an actor based on your experience?

At the legal age to enter business the child would be able to make his/her choice in whatever profession is available.

But just as far as advice from child to parent, based on your experience...

I would not push the child to work like this, nor urge, nor coerce. The information would be available, so would the choice.

That is admirable, that you would leave the option open.
