 Ah, the compilation video. It sure
brings back memories. I remember the first gay video I ever bought was a vivid compilation. I remember feeling so lucky when I stumbled upon it. I thought to my self, Wow! 4 whole hours of gay porn for only $20!
Why would anyone pay upwards of $50 bucks for a regular video when you could get 4 whole hours for only $20 bucks!?
Of course now I know why it was so cheap… it was utter
crap. The whole concept of the compilation video is a scam to fool the uniformed viewer. Take a bunch of worthless scenes from older videos (that are no longer selling), and repackage them and try to pass it off as
new. It was only a matter of time before someone started marketing compilation DVDs.
So, with our expectations sufficiently lowered, lets take a look at Something Wild 2.
For starters, there are no special features. No cumshot compilations, screenshot galleries, zip. When you get to the menu, you only get one option: Play movie. There
are 10 chapters, with one sex scene per chapter, with the exception of chapter 8, which has two sex scenes. Video quality is decent to below average.
There are no “A” list stars here. I don’t think I
recognized anyone. Most scenes are below average 2ways, with these notable exceptions:
Chapter 2: This scene is from the movie The Rites of Fall. I recognized this from another Vivid comp. I own. I
only mention this, since it is possible that if you have seen a lot of comp films, some of these scenes will give you déjà vu.
Chapter 4: This one is a solo. Some guy jacks off in a
jock strap out on the mountains.
Chapter 6: Another solo, this time out in the country. To be fair, this guy has a very respectable cumshot.
Chapter 7: Yet another solo, but this time, the star
spends about 10 minutes sucking his own dick! This is fairly entertaining for the first 5 minutes, but when the guy starts having wood problems, it is just plain sad.
And he doesn’t even cum into his own mouth… what a waste.
Chapter 8: Part 1 of chapter 8 contains the only 3 way here, and it is an interracial one to boot! Unfortunately,
the third guy doesn’t do much … he just lies there like a cold fish, and doesn’t even cum. This may be a no-condom scene, but there are no close-ups of the penetration, so it was impossible to tell.
Chapter 9: This is very strange. It seems to be taken from an instructional video on how to give a full body massage. Both guys are naked, but there are no cumshots. Is this supposed to be taken seriously? Beats me.
Chapter 10: A pre-condom five-way. This one had potential, but there aren’t many close-ups of the bareback action, and no oral cumshots.
That’s about it. If you are expecting anything earth
shattering, I think you missed the whole point of compilation flicks. If you are itching for some action, and aren’t picky, go ahead… pick it up. What the heck?
There is nothing wrong with buying crappy porn, as long as you can get it cheap, and understand it is crap before you buy it.
