Well Shane is now semi-retired, and is reserving herself only for her new husband's pleasure. We fans of this venerable and explosive on-screen vixen are now left with only a few new nude cameos of Shane in moves like Shane's World and Slumber Party, and the Shane Enterprises-produced

moves like Pornological to sustain us through our long lonely nights.

Pornological is touted as being a study of the different sexual habits and tastes of the people that live in this world. I guess it isÉ.kinda, but not really. What it actually is, is a mix between the "realness" and the fresh faced girls of the Dirty Debutantes line of pornos by Ed Powers, and the short simple stories and small budget feel of the Sex Offenders line of pornos by Wicked. I would say that Pornological is better than Sex Offenders, but not as good as Debutantes. Truly, I would have expected better from Shane. This movie is not very inspired or original. Shane's World was both, and that is what put Shane on the map. Despite the fact that this isn't the blinding flash of white light that I expected from Shane Enterprises, it isn't too bad, and there is some good jerk off material within.

The best scene is the last scene with the very cute Inari who starts off by talking about how she loves to suck "penis" and fuck in the outdoors. This is good because it let's the viewer get to know the personality of Inari and let's the fantasy of being able to possibly fuck her take hold. Another scene that that I like is with Cheyenne and T.T. Boy fucking outside, in and on a car. Cheyenne is a very cute looking brunette with a tight little body. She tells how her boyfriend is boring sexually and because of that she has to cheat on him. After the sex is over she says that she hopes her boyfriend doesn't see this tape. I don't believe that is true for a second, but once again its an attempt to add some fantasy, and that's good.

Not all the scenes are good. The Mr. Marcus/Barrett scene is actually kinda lame. It doesn't create the interest or fantasy that the other scenes do. Another poor scene is the scene with Mia and Chris that is supposed to be taken by a hidden camera. This scene isn't shot very well. It is really obvious that it's all faked and the eroticism of the situation is lost. The "hidden" camera moves around to get better shots, duh. There is even one angle where the shot is coming from the floor through Chris' legs as he is fucking Mia. I just didn't get it.

Pornological will be a disappointment for someone renting it only because the Shane name is attached to it. I was personally disappointed that Shane didn't even pop up once throughout the movie. I think it would be very cool to have Shane introduce every scene and the people in it. I think it would also be cool to have Shane direct the sex, and even be able to hear her direction. For example while two people are fucking Shane could be saying, "Yea, that's right. Really fuck her. Now stick it in her ass. Would you like that?"

To summarize, WE NEED MORE SHANE!! Even if she isn't fucking in the video, she should at least be present. If you like the new girl, fresh faced feel in pornos, then check Pornological out. One thing is has is cute girls, and that ain't too bad. - Piston Rod
