Al Kikuras: How did you first get involved in the porn business?

Katja Kean: I was looking at a porn movie, together with my husband. And at the end of the movie, there was an ad, looking for new talent. At that time I was a little bored with my job, so I decided to give it a try.

A: 5 years ago, did you ever imagine you would be an adult actress?

K: If someone would have said, that I would be in this business, I would have said "NO WAY!"

A: Does your family know what you do for a living?

K: My family for sure knows what I'm doing. It's a little diffucult to hide! Especially when you live in such a small country as Denmark.

A: Do they approve?

K: If they would approve, has never really been my concern. It's my life, and they would never dream of interfering.

A: If you had never entered into the porn business, what would you be doing right now?

K: If I wasnt in this business, I could have been doing anything else.

A: How old were you when you lost your virginity?

Now, why don't they make sandwiches like that in America?

K: I was about thirtheen years old the first time. It was with a guy that was about 20.

A: How about to a woman?

K: I was about 20 when I was with a girl the first time.

A: Are you bisexual off camera as well?

K: Yes, I am bisexual.

A: What is more wild, your on or off-screen sex life?

K: I dont do anything on camera that I haven't tried in real life!

A: Being from Denmark, do you like to eat flapjacks?

K: Flapjacks?

A: How does Denmark compare to the US, in your experience? Do you think you will ever move to the US?

K: If I should tell you about the differences between the States and Denmark, it would take very long time. Actually it is two countries, in everything. Everthing has good and bad, but I would never move to the States. I guess I'm very Danish.

A: How is the food in Denmark?

K: You should try the raw marinated herring in curry sauce, with raw onions! Yummy!

A: Is porn very prevalent in your home country?

K: Porn is getting more and more accepted in Denmark. Also because the company that I have worked with, has tried to put more money in the movies. But also they try to mix fiction with sex. The company is called Zentropa, and the two movies they have done, with me in the lead, is Constance and Pink Prison. Great movies!

A: The Scandinavian peninsula was very prevalent in the recent popularity of black metal music and bands. Are you at all familiar with black metal?

K: Sorry, can't help you with that. I love r&b.

A: Did you have any other contract offers before signing with Sin City?

K: I had some few talks with some companies, but I think that in the end, it all comes down to the details.

A: How long is your contract with Sin City?

K: My contract runs out in January 2000.

A: What are the benefits of being a contract girl vs. being a free agent?

K: One of the benefits having a contract, is that you don't have to worry about, when your next job is, and it also gives you time to focus on other important things, work or not.

A: You are one of the most naturally beautiful porn stars of all time. I would imagine you'd have no problem being a "straight" model. Did you ever try your hand at modeling?

K: Yes I did try a little modeling. I lived in South Africa for one and a half year, where I did a little.

A: What is your favorite film you have made to date?

K: I dont have any favorite film, but I like Kiss, Millenium, Rituals.

A: Do you feature dance?

K: No I don't feature dance, but I'm thinking about it in the States.

A: Some women are in the business for the money, others for the sex... what is your primary motivation for being here?

K: I'm in the business for many reasons. Sex, money, travel and then I like to be in a profession where a lot of people still don't know what to think.

A: Do you have a web site (or any plans for one)?

K: I'm working very hard at the moment on my new website. I think it's going to be ready at the end of this year.

A: Do they have the TV show "The Simpsons" in Denmark?

K: Yes, we do have "The Simpsons" here, but I hate them. I much more prefer "Married With Children."
